Helen M. Brown
Age 92, passed away March 6th, 2010 with her family by her side.
Helen was predeceased by her parents Paul E. and Anna M. Joyce (DiOrio), and her husband, Robert L. Brown. She is survived by her daughter; Joanne C. Hendrix, sister; Delvina J. Joyce, long time companion Earl T. Buchanan, four grandchildren; Robert Hendrix Jr. , Stephen Hendrix , Mark Hendrix and Caroline Tinsley, eleven great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
Helen brought much joy to her family and was adored by her grandchildren. We love you granny and will miss you dearly. Helen was a talented seamstress and loved to crochet. Each member of our family, and many friends, will cherish the afghan’s she made for us over the years. Helen's love of "the slots" was well known and in her younger years, if you couldn't find her you could bet she was at Delaware Park or AC.
Our family would like to thank the staff at Gilpin Hall, especially Damita, and Toni with Compassionate Care Hospice, for their loving care during the last years of Helen's life. Knowing you cared for Helen and were there for her, when we could not be, was very comforting to us.
