JOHN PIENKOWSKI
John S. Pienkowski
Age 87 of Wilmington, DE passed away on March 8, 2010. Mr. Pienkowski was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed as a machinist with Amtrack retiring after 42 years of service. John loved the Boston Red Sox, coin collecting and traveling together with his family.
John is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sara Pienkowski; his son Eugene Pienkowski; grandchildren, Diane and Kevin Pienkowski and great grandchildren Cody, Kaitlynn and Owen Pienkowski. John’s family would like to thank the staff at Compassionate Care Hospice and Brandywine Nursing and Rehabilitation for their care and support during his illness.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday March 11 at 11 am in the McCrery Memorial Chapel, 3710 Kirkwood Highway at Duncan Rd. Friends are welcome for visitation at 10 am. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. www.mccreryfuneralhome.com
