KATHERINE ALVERZO

Katherine Z. Alverzo Born December 11, 1909 and died at the age 100, in Berlin, MD. She passed away on January 24, 2010. Mrs. Alverzo was employed by New York University for 40 years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Prior to moving to Berlin, she lived in Wilmington, De. Lynbrook, NY and Washington Square Village in New York City. Her husband Vincent Alverzo passed away in 1984. She is survived by her 2 sons, Jon Brett Alverzo and his wife Diane of MD and Richard Alverzo and his wife Joan of NJ. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held on Thursday January 28 at 11 am in the McCrery Memorial Chapel, 3710 Kirkwood Highway at Duncan Rd. Visitation will be at 10 am. Burial will follow in Glenwood Memorial Gardens Broomall, PA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to, The Salvation Army of Delaware 400 North Orange St., Wilmington, DE 19801.
