PHILIP FACCIOLO
Philip J. Facciolo, Sr.
Age 95, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on January 19, 2010 at the Wilmington Hospital.
Philip was a graduate of the University of Delaware and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He worked for the DuPont Co. and then for Dravo Shipyards during WWII. Along with his brothers, Philip owned and operated Facciolo Construction Co. where he served as secretary and treasurer. He was a member of Christ Our King Church. Philip served as past president of the Unital Club and on the Board of Directors at Riverside Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jeannette Cekine Facciolo in 1997. Philip is survived by his sons, Philip J. Facciolo, Jr and his wife Barbara, William F. Facciolo, his daughter-in-law, Constance Facciolo, his brother, James Facciolo, his sisters, Rae Todaro and Frances Downward and his grandchildren, Philip III, Robert, Amanda, Amy and William, Jr. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Friends may call on Monday, January 25, 2010 from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at the MCCRERY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME 3924 Concord Pike, Wilm., DE 19803. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. at Christ Our King Church 2810 N. Monroe St., Wilm., DE 19802. Entombment will be in Cathedral Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ Our King Church.
