PAUL CHUBB
Paul A. Chubb
Age 82, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at Maris Grove Health Center, Glen Mills, PA, after a battle with prostate cancer and heart complications.
Born in Sunbury, PA, Paul went through Narberth and Lower Merion Schools and graduated from The Georgia Institute of Technology in 1951 with a BS in Chemical Engineering. While in college he was an co-op student with the Atlantic Refining Co., Phila,. Pa and joined them upon graduation. After 10 years, in August 1960, he joined The DuPont Company at Repauno Works, NJ. A few years later he was transferred to Wilmington where he held many different positions culminating in retirement as Vice President of Petrochemicals Dept. in January 1991. Mr. Chubb loved hunting, fishing, sailing, reading and his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Ruth; 2 children, Carol Chubb of Wilmington and Richard Chubb and his wife Lisa, of Voorhees, NJ and 5 grandchildren, Ryan, Lauren and Evan Naylor all of DE and Carlie and Joshua Chubb of NJ.
A memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010, at 11am, at the Brandywine Valley Baptist Church, 7 Mt. Lebanon Rd., Wilmington, DE 19803, where friends may call after 10am. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of Brandywine Valley Baptist Church or Heartland Hospice, 5 Christy Dr., Chadds Ford, PA 19317
