Age 81, of Wilmington, DE died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, November 21, 2009 in the St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington.
Born in Wilmington to the late Charles and Lena Herman, Dolores graduated from Wilmington HS. She was a dedicated and cheerful waitress at the former Hearns Restaurant for over 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing cards and bingo with her friends at Maplewood Apartments. She will be remembered for her loving heart and candor.
Dolores is survived by her 3 daughters, Sandra Casper, Susan Prang and Patricia Powell; granddaughter, Dawn Hagen(Frank), a brother, Charles Herman and a sister, Mary Jane Meadows. She will be dearly missed by her 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by her son Michael and 2 sisters, Edith Haggerty and Helen Faulkner.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors at St. Francis Hospital for their care of Dolores.
